Sustainably Farmed Barramundi Fillet

Kühlbarra farm processes and delivers its premium barramundi right here in Singapore. Their fish are ocean farmed in the Straits of Singapore, off the southern coast of the island. This location was selected for its oxygen-rich waters, strong currents and clean ecosystem. To ensure freshness, Kuhlbarra harvests their fish to order and deliver it ice-chilled and vacuum-packed within hours of processing.

You’ll find Kuhlbarra's premium barramundi fillets and steaks to be mildly sweet and incredibly clean tasting. Thanks to the pristine ocean waters in which they farm their barramundi, Kuhlbarra's products have no muddy or “fishy” taste, which ensures its quality that is safe to feed to your families.

To ensure the ongoing quality of their farm waters, Kuhlbarra's farm waters are independently sampled and tested every 10 minutes by the Danish Hydrological Institute, a trusted advisor to the Government of Singapore.

In addition to clean waters, you can rest assured that no hormones or antibiotics are used to encourage the growth of the barramundi. Kuhlbarra believes that the best way to grow robust, healthy fish is to simply feed them high-quality food and let them swim in a clean, natural environment.

Premium Kühlbarra barramundi are only fed one thing—the highest quality fish food. It is certified to be sustainable and traceable. In fact, every single batch can be traced to the exact percentages of the various fish, plant proteins and naturally sourced oils included in the food. The proteins come from sustainably sourced fish meal and a variety of plant proteins such as corn, canola, lupines and soybeans. The oils are sourced from cold-water fish such as salmon, ensuring our fish have high levels of healthy polyunsaturated fatty acids such as omega-3 and omega-6.

Unlike some fresh-caught fish, Kuhlbarra's premium barramundi are extremely low in mercury. Independent testing performed by the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) shows that mercury levels in their fish are well below limits set by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
